Potassium adsorption on substrates formulated with vermiculite and peat

The substrates composition can take place from different raw materials, being an influencer of the water and nutrient retention capacity, important dynamic in management cultivation containers due to possibility leaching. It was aimed quantify Potassium adsorption with proportions vermiculite peat, addition determining isotherms which would best fit observed data, for contact periods one seven days. We carried out batch essays, using as adsorbent media substrate prepared proportion vermiculate adsorbate, solutions concentrations 0, 25, 50, 75 100 mg/L K. that showed highest then less leaching potential, constituted largest amount peat. Freündlich’s isotherm represents K phenomenon all studied treatments.
